A bit of History

SmartMan CPR Corner

SmartMan's accuracy, detail and most of all its ease at helping people improve the level of their CPR performance means that it is being used for several different purposes by different groups within our industry.

CPR Corner

SmartMan is pointedly focused on improving CPR skills. This page provides access to information for several different groups now using SmartMan. The first section is a review of how it is recommended that these skills be performed.

  The Trainer's Corner

This section provides a quick review of current suggestions for practice as suggested in the guidelines.

Based on the input of many thousands of people now using SmartMan, we include suggestions on how to avoid the most common mistakes and point to areas which might cause difficulties for practice.

This Skills Review section covers all the main skill areas.


SmartMan offers full support for the trainer. You teach the skills and then SmartMan assists each student to perform correctly. It also provides you with a print out should you need a permanent record.

In this section you will find the description of some of the many ways SmartMan it is being now being used by trainers. It includes suggestions for using it in refresher classes to implementing it for self improvement practice. Go her for the Trainer's Corner.

  The Researcher's Corner

SmartMan provides an advanced oversight facility. The SmartMan Administrator Software allows you to interrogate test results related to your key codes. It provides an oversight person with average scores and overall trends in the people in your cohort and you have the ability to to examine a particular set of results.

For the researcher, SmartMan provides unprecedented levels of data on a complete set of parameters related to performance of CPR. Since its inception, it has taken on the leadership role in providing accurate data to researchers.

The Researcher's Corner provides suggestions on how to organize you research, how to deal with the data and how it can be analyzed.
