Ambu® Airway SmartMan is an Integrated Training Manikin system designed to improve how CPR is performed.
Airway SmartMan© accurately measures skills performance and then provides real time feedback. Its simple to understand color bar graphs are setting a new standard in "visual feedback" training.
The Airway Model is designed to work on ADVANCED AIRWAY skills.
- The device accurately re-creates the natural reverse flow of air into the lungs on release of a compression
- Allows you to accurately deliver .5l – 6l of air into the lungs within 0.3 sec. if the start of the inspiration is correctly timed. i.e. starting at the point when the compression is released.
- The display provides feedback on the inspiration volume and the timing of the inspiration in relation to the release of the chest, and when the ventilation stopped in relation to the chest release.
Airway SmartMan is designed to help you perfect intubations and to learn how to time ventilations in an advanced airway with the release of the chest compression.
The manikin has an operating trachea and esophagus plus a working chest cavity with lung. Practice placing an Advanced Airway with an endotracheal tube, and a variety of perilaryngeal and esophageal devices. The real time feedback lets you know if the airway device is correctly placed, whether there is leakage, and how long it has taken to insert and attain an effective seal.
This training system
also allows you to work on the following basic life support skills:
- Chest Compressions (30:2)
- Chest compressions (continuous)
- Ventilations (in rescue breathing)
- Ventilations (in 30:2 CPR)
- 1 Person CPR
- 2 person CPR
Airway SmartMan uses the Ambu® Airway Man Adult-sized Training Manikin.
